Guys !!!any suggestions to grow my hair long...and how long will it take!!!?

my hair pattern is quiet curly and water in ma locality is very salty..so everytime when i take a shower ma hair becomes quiet dry and though i apply hair products my hair drys soon...i find it difficult to grow ma hair long under these conditions ....so pls!!give some suggestions to grow my hair long...including what hair products to use!!!
