I am moving to Hyderabad, India from Ozie...just wanted to know how is the city like...?

basically we are moving in the locality called "Shri Raghvendra Nagar Colony" in Shivrampally n I will be working in Hitec city..is it wise to have a car or I can trust the public transport ? .. Also I would like to know about Raghvendra Nagar, how is the area? is it safe? .... We are coming to India for the first time...would appreciate replys....
