How can I teach my horse to barrel race?

My mare quarter horse paint mix is pretty fast and knows commands pretty well. i love barrels and she would be really good if she would quickly turn around the barrels and not purposly knock them over. She will trot or canter to the first barrel and slowly step on the cone or knock the barrel and trot or canter to the next one and do the same and do the same to the third. if she learned to not do this she would be a good barrel racer. i just want to do this for fun, but if she learned she cud do it well. please help
