Painful lump/crease under big toe!?

Under my big toe the wrink between the big toe and the foot has gone red and the crease is really starting to hurt there is also a harderned blister type lump on the crease and it is on both feet... The soles of my feet really burn when I walk in the shoes I have and cause blisters but now the hardened skin under my big toe is kinda growing deep and there is a hard lump.. it hurts, someone said this is a sign of diabetes...
