Should I move in with him or keep some independence?

Since you two have never lived together (I assume) or even have lived in the same town, i think that you should declare your independence first before moving in with him. First of all its not like your moving into his own place, he has roommates which basically means he's living in a bachelor pad. You should get to know some people before moving in with your boyfriend that way you have something to do then depend on your boyfriend for enjoyment. I think it would be smart to be on your own for about 3 months, just to see how things go, meet new people, find some cool spots to hang out and spend time with your boyfriend and after those three months i think you will know what your next move should be.
